I think my 6mth yorkie has a collapsed trachea any advice?

My yorkie is 6 months old and has been to the vet and had every test possible and cost me so far �1000 in vet fees! Ins was out by 2 days of start date. I read some one said about lemon juice but not sure how to use it. If any one can help as I hate seeing this little man suffer at the moment on steroid's just waiting to see if this helps. We would be most grateful of any help
