I think my ex still likes me?

Ok so my friend mckenna has been friends with my ex since preschool, and yesterday we were talkin about him and she said she thinks he still likes me, but hes afraid his mom will find out or someone will tell her, then this morning me and my friends were hanging out and hes friends with my friends and he like pokes my shoulder and pretends he didnt do it and he smiles at me then i was hitting my friend and hes all like laughing and talking to me and flirting with me, so IDK wat to think, if he asks me out again what should i do?
