Why the ecu dont respond?

I'll take a shot at this. #1 I have no idea what a Nubira is. That being said I would suggest driving the car at at least 45 MPH for at least 1 minute and see if the computer will reset stepper motor back to zero. Works for some GM cars , maybe it might work for you. Other cars need to be reset with a scan type tool.
